Title Prompt: To Dream of Endless Waves

Human AU. Loki’s estranged from the family, and he’s having a recurring dream of dark, murky waves crashing along the shoreline by the family’s beach house (because Odin’s a rich, white bastard who bought a beach house). He’s doing research or maybe he talks to someone, and he doesn’t really believe the stuff about his subconscious trying to reveal a hidden emotional desire, and that he’s unhappy.

And, because this feels sad (the endless part) I think I’d have it be interspersed with a flashback of Loki pining after Thor during one of the summers they’re at the beach house. Thor’s always gorgeous, but he doesn’t wear a shirt pretty much the whole summer. By the end of their trip, Loki’s managed to convince himself he’s obsessed with how Thor looks out of jealousy, and nothing else. Also, that he’s disgusting and worthless.

Just a lot of Loki angst.
