Loki’s family moves to a new town halfway through Loki’s senior year in high school. He gets a part time job at this little bookstore he falls in love with, which is owned by a woman named Frigga. She’s wonderful and motherly, which Loki appreciates since his own mother passed away.

Frigga frequently shows Loki pictures of her son Thor, a college student, and Loki ends up falling a bit in love with the golden young man with the killer smile and stunning blue eyes (which, yes, was 100% what Frigga intended). There are almost no pictures of Thor on his own. He’s always surrounded by friends, especially beautiful women. He’s clearly athletic and popular.

Thor’s semester at college ends, and he comes back home. Frigga sets him to work in her shop, conveniently giving him numerous shifts with Loki. Thor’s every bit as friendly as the photos suggested, and he even appreciates Loki’s sharp wit and cutting remarks. One thing leads to another, and they end up dating. Loki's sure Thor has more experience than him, but when Loki brings up sex, Thor reveals he’s a virgin.
